A high quality precision device designed to tightly stretch watercolor paper. As the screws on the frame of the board are tightened, tension is placed on the outside edges of the paper. After the paper has dried, the paper will stay flat and buckle-free during wet washes. Holds 140lb. - 300lb. paper. Universal tripod mount on backside allows you to attach this setup to a tripod. Comfortable carrying handle. Extruded aluminum and hard board. Availble in three sizes:

Almost all methods of “stretching” really only attach the paper to the backing board. The paper is not so much “stretched” as “shrunk”. When the paper is re-soaked during a wet wash, the small amount of tension that is there is released, and buckles form. I started looking for a simple way to put more tension on the paper. I finally came up with a way to put tension on the paper as it is being tightened down, so that no matter how wet the paper got again, there would always be more tension to keep it flat. The result is The Watercolorboard™.

Guerrilla Field Tripod Kit™
This tripod is sturdy, lightweight and efficient and works well with the Watercolorboard™. The legs are independently adjustable for both length and angle and can extend 54" high. Comes with a Tripod Stone Bag, an extra quick release plate and carrying bag. Head of the tripod pans and adjusts with 3 different levers and features a bubble level. Maximum load capacity is 8 lbs. Folds down to 25".
